Few migrants but more moths

The warm weather continues, with light NE turning NW. A bit cloudy in the morning, later sunny. Nets open 06-15, netmeter hours approx. 3000.

Ringed: Collared Dove 2, Fieldfare 4, Sedge Warbler 1, Willow Warbler 4, Chiffchaff 1, Common Starling 1, Lesser Redpoll 2. Total = 15. Also 1 controls.
Observations: Marsh Harrier 2 females.

The warmer weather has brought an increase in the insect activity, and the Robinson traps contained 11 moth species this morning. Among them were no less than 27 Silver Y, an indication that insects are migrating from the continent at present.
